Fresh, varietal character! Dry!
  • The vintage
  • After a number of low yield harvests, the 2016 production was normal!
    Initially, cool, wet temperatures slowed the spring vegetative growth greatly. Fortunately, the weather improved but residual moisture created perfect conditions for mildew. Extra vigilance was demanded to protect the crop. An August heat wave and subsequent warm weeks until harvest created hydrique stress in some fields but the grapes eventually ripened perfectly. Harvest began on September 20th and finished 6 weeks later. In the cellar, a few fermentations finished more quickly than in the past. The wines are well balanced, fresh and easy to drink.

  • After a 3 year period of conversion beginning 2010, our vineyards are certified Organic in 2013 by Ecocert France. We are guided by our choice to develop the natural balance in our soils. All chemical herbicides and pesticides are replaced by precise, well timed organic treatments. Each vine’s extraordinary potential is developed by plowing and hoeing the soils. The grapes are hand harvested between mid September and October.
  • Winemaking
  • The vintage and harvest date are primordial in our wine making protocol. To guarantee impeccable quality, the harvest, once perfectly ripe, is pressed slowly and delicately for about 5 hours. To preserve the delicious flavors and aromas, we have chosen to keep only the heart of each press. After 24 hours of cold decantation, the fermentations continue until February. The wines are kept on their fine lees in stainless steel tanks and bottled in the Spring.

  • Service
  • Can be aged 3-5 years. Should always be stored on their sides, at an ambient temperature of 10-15°. The ideal serving temperature is 8-10°.
  • Food pairings
  • Excellent with shrimp and grilled fish. Try with fresh goat cheese too!
  • Tasting
  • Profusion of citrus and acacia flowers. The mouth is crisp and pure with an elegant finish.
